LG Lotus Cell phone vs. LG Lotus Elite Cell phone
Buying a cell phone
Buying a phone can be nerve racking, exciting, scary and more. I know I have been there. I was so nervous that I was going to pick the wrong phone. I was concerned about the color, feel, handling, features and more. I spent days doing research before I bought the first LG lotus, so I want to share with you what I found to be helpful.
Research and Features
Well when I bought the LG Lotus 1 year ago it was the newest phone out there. I wanted a phone that had a keyboard for texting. I was getting so sick of my Razor and multi-tapping for a text. What a waste of time. And I wanted a phone that closed shut when I finished with what I was doing. I first looked at the Rumor, but wasn’t a fan of the outside window. I was scared it would’ve gotten scratched or cracked, as you know, phones usually go in a purse or pocket or holster and that made me nervous. After talking to the Sprint dealer, he recommended the Lotus for me along with a Blackberry. I liked the blackberry, but with them being so new, that had a lot of things that concerned me and also once again, it didn’t close. Screen was open. I also didn’t want to pay for the extra monthly service charge for a Blackberry so I went with the LG Lotus. I bought the purple one as they were out of the red one. (I am a pink or red fan) I loved the features of the phone, the internet was fast and I could type super fast on the phone. And if it was dark, the keys light up for texting easier. The screen is big and vibrant making for easy reading and navigating. The outside of the phone had a great button to operate camera along with a screen so you could see what you were doing. Great feature! After a few months, my fiancé bought the black one when his phone was up and he also enjoyed his phone. The downfall for him on this phone was the keys for typing are tiny with no spaces making it hard for bigger fingers/hands to type correctly.
Features and Functions
So after my 1 year I bought another phone the Samsung Exclaim. Great phone but really missed my Lotus, so when my daughters contract was up, she loved my phone so much she wanted it as her phone, so in return I bought the LG Lotus Elite. This phone is new to the market and mimics the LG Lotus in most ways. The added new features are the outside touch screen for everyday navigation. You can check emails, text messages, call history, add a slide show, speed dial, contact all from the outside of the phone. You can view your text messages from the outside. Only downfall is you have to open the phone to talk (it automatically goes to speakerphone to talk) but if you don’t mind that, it works great. Great speakers and voice clarification on this phone. You can call your voicemail if you voicemail box doesn’t have a security code to access it, however, anything you want to do with the message you have to open the phone with the keypad. You can also change your volume by touching the outside screen. The only downfall of this phone is that you can type from the outside of the phone but sometimes you just want to not respond right away and it also doesn’t have an outside light to tell you if someone called or texted you. You have to touch the screen first. This phone has a great quick glance and go. Another great feature is you can drag you incoming caller to answer, ignore, silence and ignore with text which is awesome. There are preset texts in there so you can just pick one and it sends. This is new to the texting/answering world. You can do all this without opening the phone. The phone only comes in a copper red format, but covers are available thru online auctions.
PS....dont forget the accessories, as they are a must! Covers, chargers, screen protectors and more..........
Wrapping up on buying
All in all, once again I am super happy with this phone. Starting with the original Lotus to the Lotus Elite………they just keep getting better and better. I don’t regret my decision at all on either phone and my daughter will agree with you on it. She is a texting queen.
